VICTORIA EMMONS STARS IN NEW FILM “COME WHAT MAY”

Free Showing July 19th 6:30 PM at Grants Pass Performing Arts Center

Grants Pass, Oregon, July 14, 2008 - A special showing of forthcoming feature film, “Come What May” will be held on July 19th at the Grants Pass Performing Arts Center. “Come What May” features nineteen year old Grants Pass resident Victoria Emmons in her first role in a feature film. Thanks to a generous donation, tickets to this event are free and can be obtained at the Evangel Bookstore in Grants Pass and at the door.

“Come What May” centers on pro-life issues fought in the U.S. Supreme Court and National Moot Court Championship. This movie tells the story of two Patrick Henry College students, Caleb played by Portland resident Austin Kearney and Rachel played by Victoria, who team up to lead the college to the National Moot Court Championship. Torn between his newly-Christian father and feminist Supreme Court attorney mother, Caleb must decide whether to vigorously defend an abortion parental rights case from a distinctly Christian perspective or argue points that seem more likely to win the National Moot Court Tournament. Throughout the movie, the characters are challenged to do what is right and to make a stand no matter what the consequences may be.

Christina Emmons, a 21 year old Grants Pass resident, assisted the movie production in make-up and sound engineering. Both sisters are members of the four-sister Bluegrass Gospel band, The Emmons Sisters that can be seen playing at various events on the West Coast. One of their songs, “Lullaby”, plays during the closing credits of the movie and will be included on the forthcoming movie soundtrack album.

The trailer for this movie can be viewed at www.ComeWhatMayMovie.com.

A drawing will be held at the showing for a copy of the special “Preview Edition” DVD of “Come What May.” Attendees will have the opportunity to meet cast and crew members of the film including the producer co-director George Escobar and Victoria Emmons, get questions answered, and learn how “Come What May” came into being. A donation will be accepted at the door to benefit the Josephine County Right To Life organization.

For additional information on this special showing of “Come What May,” contact Richard Emmons or visit www.ComeWhatMayMovie.com. Victoria Emmons and Christina Emmons are available for interviews. Professional still photographs of Victoria Emmons are available.

ABOUT ADVENT FILM GROUP - “Come What May” was filmed last summer at the campus of Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia by the newly formed film company Advent Film Group. “AFG’s goal is to prepare a new generation of Christian filmmakers who will one day make big-budget films,” explains George Escobar, director and producer and an ex-Discovery executive and American Film Institute producing fellow. www.AdventFilmGroup.com
