• Vote no to more taxes!
• Vote no to larger government!
• Vote yes to fiscal responsibility!
As individuals, we are expected to live within our means. Past and present Commissioners have seemed to decide this does not apply to them. They have consistently relied on Federal Government subsidies to operate above our current tax revenues. They have planned poorly or not at all for the eventual termination of these funds. We are now faced with the fact most have ignored: the free ride is over.Other candidates as well as past and current commissioners have proposed increasing taxes and/or increasing the size of our government through a County Manager government. Voters of Josephine County have overwhelmingly voted no to both of these proposals. Yet our government and would-be officials continue to push these agendas as the only solutions to our problems. What part of no do these people not understand?“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”–Albert Einstein (Quoteworld.org)We need a Commissioner who will:
• take responsibility and not shirk it
• make the right choices not just the popular ones
• make Josephine County fiscally responsible
• not burden the public with more taxes and larger government
• Vote yes to Cliff Thomason
